Gogi Grill Opens in Hoboken Offering the Taste of Traditional Korean BBQ
Hoboken, NJ – November 28, 2016 – Gogi Grill is now open at 79 Hudson Street in Hoboken, NJ; serving traditional Korean grilled meats and marinated vegetables in a non-traditional dining environment. Founder and owner of this newly created concept, Inku Yo is proud to share the flavors of authentic Korean dishes for all to experience in a fast-casual dining setting. Gogi (rhyming with “Yogi”) is the Korean word for “meat.” Customers can tailor their choices to their own taste and dietary preferences as they proceed along a serving counter. Step #1 select meal format (taco, bowl, wrap/burrito, or salad); Step #2 add protein (boneless short ribs, chicken breast, spicy chicken, shrimp, spicy Korean bacon, or tofu); Step #3 exciting toppings (think kimchi and assorted marinated vegetables); and final step #4 is to select one of the proprietary sauces – combing an array of spices creating a combination of “smoky, sweet, spicy flavors. The result of any meal a customer selects will deliver bold, savory and sweet flavors of traditional Korean BBQ with an individual twist. Customers have the choice to dine-in or take-out. All of the vegetables and side dishes are freshly prepared in-house based on family recipes. All beef is USDA Grade Beef and is cleaned, trimmed and marinated in house for 24-48 hours. The spicy chicken, full of robust flavor, is already a favorite! In addition to the meats, Gogi offers tofu incorporating a variety of spices creating a vibrant and superb option appealing to a wide range of people, not just vegetarians. Gogi (rhyming with “Yogi”) is the Korean word for “meat.” A featured menu item at Gogi Grill is the must try Gogi Grill Original Creation “Scallion Pancake Tacos” - a Korean-style scallion pancake that takes the place of a traditional tortilla, for customers who choose the “taco” approach for their dining adventure. As owner Inku Yo explains, “I knew I wanted to offer a taco option, but also knew that I wanted something a little different - something that would become part of the dish itself and not simply a 'holder.’ I started experimenting with a traditional scallion pancake and loved the way it complimented the flavors of the BBQ inside. Once I shared this with friends and family who raved of the unique flavors, I immediately knew it was going change the Korean street taco forever.” About Gogi Grill: Gogi Grill is the first location of a franchise concept offering Korean BBQ where customers customize their protein of choice as a bowl, burrito or salad adding toppings of kimchi, assorted vegetables and topping it off with homemade sauces with choices of sweet, spicy, or tangy. Gogi Grill is located at 79 Hudson Street in Hoboken, is open seven days a week, Sunday-Thursday from 11 am to 10 pm and Friday and Saturday from 11 am to 11 pm.
