Hoboken residents know all about Dawn Pascale’s gluten-free and vegan bakery Om Sweet Home, which is nestled right on Anderson Avenue in Cliffside Park. What some might not know is that Pascale has her Hello Marketplace section tucked inside her quaint little bakeshop.
“The Hello Marketplace is our version of a specialty market,” said Pascale. “They are only gluten-free and vegan products that we sell.”
The Hello Marketplace was launched prior to Thanksgiving of 2017 inside Om Sweet Home. The products shelved in the specialty market are provided by local vendors in New Jersey in addition to already prepped vegan meals by Graze and Braise, which happens to be a very well-known paleo and gluten-free meal delivery service in Hudson County. Items such as Hoboken’s City of Saints Coffee, Bari & Betty’s gluten-free pie crust mix, Hellenic Farm’s Fig Salami, Yeah Dawg vegan soy free hot dogs, and many more are currently in stock at the Hello Marketplace.
Pascale will be bringing the Hello Marketplace pop-up to the mile-square for the first time on April 15th.
“The idea of the pop-up would be to take a select few of the options in our inventory,” said Pascale.
The Hellenic Farms Fig Salami, cheese, and crackers will be featured in the pop-up since those are items that pair well, she mentioned. Pascale also mentioned an assortment of baked goods and the Non-Dairy Alternative Butter from Om Sweet Home will be brought for the event as well as the Yeah Dawg Vegan Soy Free Hot Dogs and vegan-friendly prepared meals by Graze and Braise.
“We are still trying to figure out how much stuff we are bringing with us,” said Pascale.
Guests should indeed prepare their palette for a Sunday Funday at the Hello Marketplace pop-up since there will be a variety of items to try.
The Hello Marketplace pop-up will launch on April 15th from 10 am to 3 pm at the Celebrate Life Studio in Hoboken located at 1200 Park Avenue.
