Hoboken Memorial Day Parade steps off for 119th year

Hoboken held its 119th annual Memorial Day Parade on Wednesday evening. Said to be New Jersey's oldest continually staged parade, the procession marched up Washington Street from City Hall to the reviewing stand 10 blocks uptown. Veterans, ROTC groups, police and firefighters, girl and boy scouts, marching bands, majorettes, politicians and others marched past crowds waving flags or just waving hello.
